Cup of Russia Compulsory Dance Oksana and Maxim are competing in their third competition of the season this weekend. The Cup of Russia started today with the Yankee Polka, a fast and bouncy dance. Oksana and Maxim came in third with a score of 32.35, a little behind Chait/Sakhnovski (35.03), who placed second and Navka Kostomarov, who won the compulsory dance with a score of 38.72. “We felt great, and were in a great mood today”, Shabalin said. “It was bit hard (to skate first), we tried to leave our mark, and I think we accomplished that. The Polka is a relatively new dance for us. We skated it only in the first year when I teamed up with Oksana. Therefore it (the dance) wasn't too comfortable, but we've worked on it for a month and it's fine now.” from: isu.org |
