Worlds result 1. Albena Denkova/Maxim Staviski BUL from: isu.org
Worlds Free Dance result To skate last in the final flight is not always lucky as Oksana and Maxim have experienced tonight. In a very strong group and with sparkling performances earlier by Denkova and Staviski and Dubreuil/Lauzon, they gave all they've got, but unfortunately is wasn't enough to medal nor for place four. Bot Belbin/Agosto and Delobel and Schoenfelder received higher levels and marks for their Free Dance, so Oksana and Maxim could not improve upon their personal best score of 100.39, but scored 95.81 instead. This score meant a fifth place in the FD and a fifth place overall. from: isu.org
Worlds Original Dance result Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto have passed Oksana and Maxim in the standings, although Oksana and Maxim skated to a personal best score of 60.54. They are now less than 2 points behind the Americans for the 3rd spot, so the FD will be deciding in whoever makes it to the bronze medal. The Free Dance will be skated at 12pm Tokyo time on Friday. from: isu.org
Worlds Compulsory Dance result Oksana and Maxim came in third after the Compulsory Dance in Tokyo. They skated a smooth Rhumba in new costumes and were awarded 37.29 points (18.66/18.63). Currently in the lead are Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon from Canada. Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski from Bulgaria are in second place. The top 5 is placed within one point from eachother. from: isu.org
European Championships result 1. Isabelle Delobel/Olivier Schoenfelder FRA from: isu.org |
European Championships FD results In what became a thriller of a Free Dance, Oksana and Maxim danced to their first ever medal at the European Championships. They came second into the Free Dance behind Delobel and Schoenfelder with a margin of just 2 points, but won the final part of the competition with a personal best score of 100.39 (51.07/49.32) which left them .31 behind gold medalists Delobel and Schoenfelder overall. Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski stayed in third place. from: isu.org |
European Championships OD results Oksana and Maxim scored just below their personal best for their Tango OD today at the European Championships in Warsaw. They received 29.29 for TES and 30.49 for PCS to end up just behind Delobel and Schoenfelder and 3 points clear of Denkova and Staviski, who supposedly made a mistake in a spin and received a level 1 only for the element. The margins between the top three contenders are still small so anything could happen in tomorrow's Free Dance. from: isu.org |
European Championships CD results A surprising result in the Golden Waltz CD as Oksana and Maxim outscored Denkova/Staviski by .43 to take the lead with 38.99 points, a point higher than their former personal best. Only Delobel and Schoenfelder got higher marks from the judges 39.57. This means that there is just a 1 point margin between the numbers 1 and 3 and it will be interesting to see if these placements last throughout the competition, which continues with the original dance on Thursday. from: isu.org |

Grand Prix Final result 1. Albena Denkova/Maxim Staviski BUL from: isu.org |
GPF Free Dance results Because Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon got a deduction for an extended lift, Oksana and Maxim ended up in second place in the Free Dance, behind Denkova and Staviski. Oksana and Maxim stayed just under their personal best with their score of 96.17 overall and they received a level 4 for their dance spin, their straight-line lift, their twizzle sequence and for both rotational lifts. The rest of their elements was graded level 3. Oksana and Maxim stayed behind Dubreuil and Lauzon in the overall standings and were placed third. Their next competition will be Russian Nationals in Mytischi from January 3 to 7 in the new year. from: isu.org |
GPF Original Dance results Oksana and Maxim came in third after the original dance with a seasonal best score so far of 59.97. The results within the top 3 are very close as Oksana and Maxim are just .15 behind Denkova and Staviski who came in second and .47 behind Dubreuil & Lauzon who won the OD with their revised tango. These results mean that nothing is decided just yet and that we might me in for some surprises tomorrow in the free dance. from: isu.org |
Grand Prix Final entries Just one week to go until the beginning of the Grand Prix Final, in St Petersburg, Russia. Entries are listed here>>. Oksana and Maxim will have firm competition from Isabelle Delobel/Olivier Schoenfelder for the bronze medal. They have beaten them at Cup of Russia, but will they be able to do that again? The results are likely to show just marginal differences, so minor mistakes could cost you a medal. 10 December 2006 |
